Naomi Watts was born on September 28, 1968 in Shoreham, England. When she was 14, her family settled in Australia. Once there, she coaxed her mother into letting her take acting class.

Naomi met her best friend Nicole Kidman, when they both auditioned for a bikini commercial, where they shared a taxi ride home.

In 1991, she starred along Nicole Kidman in the sleeper-hit Flirting. She gained critical acclaim for her work in David Lynch’s Mulholland Drive in 2001. She then received international recognition for her role in the horror film The Ring.
